Her Vampire Husband now in stores!

Yay!  I just got back from my local Borders, and spied HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND on the book shelves!  To use the words of the infamous Captain UnderPants, "Tra-laaaaa!!!!!"  Its official release date wasn't until March 30th, but I'm not complaining.  It's very exciting to see this book out there.  I think it's one of the sexiest, prettiest covers I've ever had (though if you page down on the right, my June cover is nothing to sneeze at).  I hope it'll sell bajillions!

Now, how to celebrate?  Recently I've tended to have my books come out month after month, giving me little time to breathe, or even appreciate the fact I've got another book out.  So I must stop.  Take a deep breath.  Thank the universe for this gift.  And enjoy this book's debut.  It features one of my favorite hero and heroine pairs.  So how would Blu and Creed celebrate?

Blu would put on a sexy red wig, probably a black corset dress and her lace-up gladiator high heeled-boots.  Creed would order in the spicy, chili-laced chocolate dessert and the twosome would make a night of it, tunes cranked to 11, chocolate sauce dribbling down body parts—er, okay, yeah, I know how those two would celebrate.  ;-)

Me, I'm going to see if I can get the hubby to take me out for a nice supper.  But not at my suggestion.  It's gotta be his idea, like a REAL date.  And he has to drive, too.  None of this me driving stuff for a celebration.  And after we've stuffed ourselves, we'll be sure to swing by this cool little shop in town called Truffles and Tortes.  Oh, baby, do they have awesome chocolate desserts there!  They give decadence a run for its money.  Then we'll drive by a few bookstores where I'll sign my books and feel very author-like.  No champagne; not for me.  But maybe a sip of my favorite chocolate/vodka drink.  Hmm...I'm sensing a chocolate theme here.

To kick off my celebration I'm going to give away a copy of HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND to one commenter.  I want to hear about what you do when you've a reason to celebrate.

Congrats on the book release!! I have my favorite restaurant for celebrations called La Scala. Its Italian and theatre themed with masks on the walls. Its small so not to noisy but classy enough that i can dress up in heels and gems.

Congratulations Michele!^O^ When I have a reason to celebrate, my mother usually makes a fabulous dinner for me and my friends. She's a great cook! And I also enjoy cooking myself very much, so I give a hand!>_<

Congrats on the early release & the delicious cover. My celebration would include a trip to a quaint restaurant where we would order a bottle of wine, not just glasses. I would wear a gorgeous knock their socks off dress with killer heels so I can strut my stuff. I like your idea of an impromptu stop at the bookstore. I would love to be there to gush to you about your awesome books.
Love & Hugs,
Pam

Happy for you : ) I have only read terrific reviews, and I'd love to win!

I am a person of faith, so first I "say thanks". Then I smile all over myself, do the "Snoopy" dance, blow kisses to my cats and hit the chocolate stash! Since the cats don't eat chocolate, I also hit the cat treat stash for them : )

Michele, I love the look of these 2 covers, and the way they brought them out in consecutive months--terrific! A one-two punch that's bound to be a big breakout for you. (Yes--from my lips to God's ears!)

I usually celebrate by going to my favorite mexican restuarant with friends and dring margueritas!

I'll hold you to that, Kathy. ;-)

Sounds like most like to head to their favorite restaurants to celebrate? Why does no one feel the desire to exercise or run a mile when they have something good happen to them? Ha!

Congratulations, Michele!

There are so many ways to celebrate from simple to elegant. I like having friends and family over for a meal to celebrate a milestone. Other times, it's fun to just go out and buy something for myself. But, most importantly, I thank God for the good things that happen.

Congratulations!!!

Hmm.

I've been known to celebrate by:

1.) Skipping down the hall joyfully
2.) Calling out, when asked why I'm skipping, "I'm so happy because XYZ"
3.) Getting an ice cream cone (ice cream makes everything more special)
4.) Calling all my friends
5.) Emailing all the friends I couldn't call
6.) Leaping about the room like a spastic dog, screaming
7.) Spider monkeying my boyfriend and letting him know quite explicitly how excited I am
8.) Have more ice cream

Contratulations on the book. Gee, it's been so long since I've celebrated anything, I'm trying to remember...seems like it includes champagne and chocolate, though!

Michele--

Yay! Congrats on yet another book coming out. This is a very good thing, but you're right. Career authors can get very bogged down turning the wheel of the engine and never taking enough time to appreciate their achievement.

So, yay, you! And you need to celebrate.

Petit Fours are an excellent celebration pastry.

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to spread this 'high' out for as long as I can. Will make random trips to store book shelves and gaze lovingly upon my book.

Betina, you got a Nook? How do you like it? I love my Kindle.

Michele, I'm loving my nook. But I confess, I do miss seeing the covers up close and personal and sometimes I do forget to charge the darned thing. And I do feel a little guilty about contributing to the demise of paper-and-glue books. But I love that sexy little color screen that gives you the covers in color!!

When I have something to celebrate I usually call my sister and her husband and my hubby and I ask them along to a dinner away from home. I also make up reason to celebrate at times too..just to get out to eat. susan L.
