Awesome contest! So many of these books are ones I want to read! In NJ it's not that sunny out...but it's still early. No rain.

I'm going to my mom's for dinner and cards tonight. I'm currently reading Hunted by the Others by Jess Haines. Almost done with it.

Good Morning, Ladies! I will soon be going out to mow and weed the flower beds. It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Iowa, but it is supposed to be humid today and tomorrow. After that, I have some errands to run and then would like to sit down and read. I've chosen GRACE by Deneane Clark from my TBR pile.

Lots of fabulous books! Weekend plans? Hmm, we have company in a bit but they are only staying for a couple hours. Hopefully they want to venture down to the park because the weather is awesome today- cool and slightly cloudy, but rain is in the forecast. Which means nothing because I am pretty sure that the weather dudes just make stuff up around here.

Then we are finally going to see Iron Man 2!! I know it probably isn't as awesome as the first movie but I still want to see it and hopefully most people with kids will be seeing Shrek.

Reading will be later and I'm hoping to finish the book I'm on now because I bought Risk No Secrets yesterday and I really want to read it!

Right now it's overcast and in the low 70's. It's supposed to start clearing and get to the high 80's. No housework to do -- doesn't take much to keep a small apartment clean.

I'd planned to have lunch and go to a movie with a friend, but she was up all night with reflux so she's backed out. I'm still going to the movie -- Letters to Juliet. It looked good when I saw the previews.

After the movie I may go to the Botanical Gardens and use my new membership. It's always fun to see what's blooming, especially since I don't have a yard anymore. Eventually I'll be heading back home and diving back into THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett. Fabulous novel about 1960's Mississippi.

Greetings and salutations!

Thanks so much for all this generosity! One can never have too many entries (IMHO), so here I am again.

I have about 5 hours of paid work left to finish up today, I'm nipping out to the grocery store for some last-minute ingredients, and I'm baking muffins and a cake tonight. I'm taking said muffins and cake to my girlfriend's place tomorrow morning (1.5 hours away), and we plan on gabbing (of course!), exchanging birthday gifts, playing euchre, and going for a long walk with our husbands in tow. Monday will be my soak in the tub/read a book day when the others have gone to work/left for the day.

It was supposed to rain today but we had our dab of it during the night instead. Perfect! It is currently almost noon and 25C/77F, with 29/84 anticipated.

Sounds like a recurring theme with all these TBR piles being attacked! YES!!!

I have lots of books to choose from this weekend, and today is gorgeous--sunny and bright. Have a great weekend, everyone. Happy Anniversary!

Here the weather is sunny and the sky is a beautiful baby blue. I finished reading The Girl that Chased The Moon last night and am still deciding which book of my, 6 book high TBR pile I'll tackle next. (It's getting scaringly small.)

My sister will be coming over in an hour or two and we're going to watch an Audrey Hepburn movie, eat lasagna together and catch up with a glass of wine. I'm really looking forward to her visit.

Tomorrow we intent to do some gardening. Unfortunatly plenty of unwanted plants (weeds) have shown up and need to be removed. If the weather is anything like today it won't be such a bad job and I'll be making some homemade lemonade as an early summer treat.

No other plans, but enjoying the simple things in life is very nice.

Thanks for the great giveaway and you are all so generous!

It's nice and sunny over here and I'm currently reading "Cold River" by Carla Neggers.

Tonight is movie night but not quite sure which one I will be watching yet!

What a wonderful contest!!

Well, it's still warm here, but overcast. It's supposed to rain today. I hope to get some gardening done tomorrow.
I'm reading One enchanted evening by Lynn Kurland.

I must be the only one that has to work this weekend. But at least the library is fairly quiet today. ;)

Michele Hauf said...

Sounds like everyone is having fun this weekend (Except maybe ForestJane, who has to work, but working at a library would be all kinds of fun for me.)

We're headed to Iron Man 2 later this afternoon, after the hubby gets done moving our son BACK into our house. He graduated a 2 yr Networking program (computer IT stuff; don't even ask; I have no idea what he does, only that it's HARD). I look forward to having him back for the summer, but after that, the dude had better find a place to live. I was just getting used to the empty nest!

Oh, and I'm two days into my new diet. Know what it is? It's the I-Just-Got-Temporary-Crowns-On-My-Two-Front-Teeth-And-Am-Afraid-To-Bite-Anything diet. I think it's working. :-)

The weather is quite beautiful. I wish I had tickets to the Subway series, but I guess I'll watch it on TV tonight.

I'm working this weekend - at least today. Tomorrow it's off to 5 graduation parties. I see cake in my future :o)

Great contest! Looks like the sun is shining here right now but it is suppose to rain again today. We have been getting a lot of rain lately, makes for good reading time though!

Right now I am reading Cathrine Anderson's book Early Dawn and enjoying it, but then again i have been into the westerns lately! Have no other plans for the weekend other then laundry and doing some reading!

EllenToo said...

Let's start with saying WOW that's a lot of books although I have read some there are some interesting ones I haven't read & would love to win.
Now as for this weekend~~I have plans to stay home and read, go to the PO to pick up my mail and maybe head for the grocery store~~nothing really exciting.
Temperature is 90°+ and it is sunny so I am not planning on doing anything outside since with the humidity it feels like 103°.

My weekend plans involve getting a training run in for my 5K, taking a 45 minute - 60 minute walk for my 5K training tomorrow, and cleaning my house. Nothing too exciting, but all necessary. Also had a fun trip to Wal-Mart and Jiffy Lube this morning.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey, guys, if you haven't seen "Robin Hood" yet, two thumbs up! Fabulous! Of course, I'm an RH fan from early childhood ("Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen...Feared by the bad, loved by the good...Robin Hooood). This one is beautifully done, well worth the price of the big screen. Has anyone else seen it?

Omigosh that's a fantastic line-up of goodies.

I've just returned from a shopping trip to a local second-hand bargain shop. I wasn't expecting rain but that's exactly what I got...rain, lightning and thunder (the whole shebang)...so it's rather dark and cloudy out but the perfect weather to read...I have a HUGE pile of books I need to get through...of course that didn't stop me from picking some great finds at the store. I found a hardcover of Amanda by Kay Hooper book as well as a mint condition hardcover of one of Kathleen Woodiweiss' books (I've never read anything by her but have heard her name mentioned many times.) Anyhoo...I'm going to have to boot myself off the macbook soon b/c otherwise I won't get to read at all...I'm a bit of an internet addict.

Good luck to everyone!

*hugs*

Happy Birthday! :) Me, I've just been trying to get ahead in my geology book for class -- it's a summer class, so the weeks are smashed in. Luckily we had Thursday off for College graduation, so I was able to catch up with day before's chapter. . . now I'm ready for Monday, and going to start now for Tuesday. And to think, I did start reading before the class started too! So for all of two seconds I was ahead of the game! LOL

I knew there was a reason why I wasn't fond of the summer semester. . . :)

I don't have a big weekend planned. It's a beautiful day here in Southwest Missouri, for a change. The rains have moved on for a few days at least and no tornado watches or warnings, knock on wood. This moring I went to my 4 year old granddaughter's final soccer game and it was a lot of fun. Sunday I'm going to play catch-up on my laundry and housework. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and thanks for the great giveaways.

Very hot weather here for the weekend, but it's a refreshing change from the cold rainy weather we've had the last couple of weeks. I'm home alone for the weekend as hubby has went away for the weekend with his buddy. I'm not reading anything right now, need a trip to the library!

I live in Pa and am relaxing in front of the computer after a long day working at a concession stand at The Carlisle car show. Tomorrow I am going to relax with a good book. I am currently reading Elizabeth Street by Laurie Fabiano & nothing or nobody is going to make me move *wink* except to eat, drink or whatever.

Saturday was sunny and breezy. I dragged my husband along to go look for a shirt with trucks on it for my 2 year old grandson.I found one that will do until I can order the one I found online. Then we went ot the Half Price Books to find a book about trucks - again for the 2 year old - and a couple of books for his 6 year old sister.

While we were at the bookstore I decided to head back to the mall (a block away) to pick up a shirt I had seen as a present for my son-in-laws upcoming birthday. I swear I was only gone 30 minutes tops. I had left my husband standing in line with with 4 kids books, 3 DVD's, and 5 books we had picked out for us. Easy to fit in the bag we took in.

I pull up to the store and he is waiting outside with 2 BOXES of books. He decided we needed some more books for the kids and then someone came in to trade a bunch of mysteries, cookbooks and other things. So hubby just picked out what he wanted from the pile as the clerk checked them over and they gave him the lot for a great price. One of those boxes is all kids books.

Sunday is supposed to be sunny and windy. Yes, they do distinguish between breezy and windy, I haven't figured it out yet. We are going to be cooking for the week ahead and reading. I'll run a couple of errands and finish up the laundry.

Monday is another week of watching the grandkids and the rest of the family.

Saturday I spent the day packing. We're heading back to Wisconsin! Sunday I'm working 10-8 long, LONG day.

Weather's been beautiful, mid 80's, mostly sunny with a nice breeze. PERFECT

I just finished Kate Moore's To Tempt a Saint. It got better as it went along.
