Trying on Hairstyles

Have you ever tried to see what you'd look like with a new hairstyle? If you're like me, these computer generated hairstyles would be a godsend, because I lack the visual perception necessary to imagine myself with a new style. Getting a new hair do usually involves me telling my hairdresser I'm sick of my style for six months before she does something different with it. I end up styling it the same way so it only looks different for the space of the first twenty four hours.

If you surf the net you can find some free sites that allow you to upload your picture and try some styles on for size. Keep in mind that the pic I uploaded had bangs and some of the ones I tried...don't. So there are phantom bangs in some photos that don't belong, LOL.

Since my husband has a long professed preference for blondes (I'm brunette, LOL) when I showed the pics to him I figured he'd choose a blonde pic as his favorite. Instead he ended up choosing the one that looks most like the way I wear my hair now. I'd like to think that means my hairstyle is a winner. But I suspect that it simply means he's a creature of habit!

Apparently this site believes we'll like a hairstyle better when it's accompanied by mammoth boobies :) Looking at these photos I'm sensing a pattern...

I don't know of any spots around here that offer the computer imaging but I know they have them in the larger cities.

Have you ever tried on new hairstyles via computer before choosing a new look? Would you?

Kylie, I like the style with the blue dress on you! Actually, that dress looks awesome on you, too. ;-)

Haven't done the computer thing. After being with one stylist for about 20 years, I'm petrified of finding another perfect fit.

I have an appointment with my daughter's stylist on Friday, but my biggest concern is whether she can match the color, since she doesn't use the same brand.

As for style, I'm still adjusting to the difference between my hair in Florida humidity (hate it) and the new Colorado dry-air look.

OMG.
Thanks for the morning giggle.
Those are hysterical.
By all means, go blond. Only a real friend would encourage your best look and I say, blond all the way. (snort)

Wow!! Made my day! Yup, Cindy's right, long, straight blond hair for you. :)

As for me I'm now Sunbolt Blond! I look like a cartoon character. Misery loves company. :)

Michele, if only they could do that with bodies, too, LOL!

Terry, most of us don't realize what climate can do to our hair. Good luck finding a new style!

Cindy--thanks buddy. I know I can always trust your advice!

Hey Lois, maybe I'll go blonde just to keep you company!

Kathleen, that's always something to keep in mind--having to do our hair ourselves!

Helen, Cindy and I have gone for updos when we were both up for Ritas. Haven't thought that far in advance, though!

Wah. I'm not getting the pix. I love fooling around with different hair styles. I'm currently growing mine from a style I had for only about 12 weeks because I noticed =everyone= had the same style as me. It felt boring.

So I need a new look. Victoria Beckham's hair looks pretty right now (according to a photo I saw in InStyle magazine) tho I find the rest of her very scary-looking.

LOL, Christie. She is sorta scary! I have a hard time with new styles because I don't look in magazines so I have to rely on my hairdresser. Sometimes *that* is scary!

I love this, Kylie! I've often wondered what I'd look like in long, flowing, gorgeous hair. Hahahahahahah.

But you know,it may be time for a new spring do. Thanks for making me want to do some research on styles!

I haven't done it...but I would.

I went to my daughter's Halloween party last year and one of her friends was wearing a black (square cut) Cleopatra type wig and I couldn't believe how fantastic she looked in black hair versus her natural blond.

Since then, I've always wondered what color/cut would be the best for my oval face...(well, more round these days)...If there is such a thing?

But then it seems from your photos the neckline is just as important???....Hehehe.

Do I want to replace the wardrobe along with the hair color/cut...Don't think so...Well, maybe???

Oh heck....toss a coin? I'm game. Tails I lose..Heads my hubby enjoys a new woman in his bed...well, almost new???

Hey, I'm late to the party but I kind of like the one in the blue dress on the right. Cute.

The boobies are serious wrong. LOL! They are hanging to these person's waist! You don't go sans support if you aren't perky!
