Congratulations Betina! Funny, it didn't seem like a short book to me, but I surely did enjoy the escapades. This is one of the few books nominated for awards that I've actually read. LOL

Thanks, guys! WOW! I was so shocked, I could hardly think of what to do. It was such a stellar list-- all book from major best-sellers-- that I didn't think I had a chance. I figured it was a small coup just to make the finals.

But talk about excitement! I'm so pleased-- and hope that this means Berkley will give the book a second release-- maybe with a Rita sticker or something!

congratulations, betina!! i'm THRILLED for you!!!

this is slightly off topic, but you don't know how many times i've thought of the short piece of flash fiction you entered in the clarity of night contest. i loved that, and have wondered if you ever thought about expanding on it for either a full-length book or as part of an anthology.

Aww shucks.

What fun it was to see you guys at the celebration afterward! Keri, you're so svelt and lovely. . . so soon after the baby! And Cindy-- what a mover and groover you are. Whew, girl-- you can dance! It was such fun to be with you guys and rock at the Harlequin party! Kathy and Judy and Thea and Eileen- - - gosh it's like having family scattered all over the country!
